Childhood Home - The Attic Bathroom and Closet
We recently took on the task of transforming an unfinished attic space into a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and closet. In this post, Iβll focus on the bathroom and closet.
After we had figured out the layout of the bedroom, bathroom, and closet, we got to work on bringing it all to life. The whole space was truly a blank canvas, with plywood subfloors and no drywall. After we finished drywall and paint (and all the essentials before that!), we started by laying down dark rectangular floor tiles, which added a touch of sophistication to the room. They remind me of slate in the best way. We opted for a large white vanity with a marble top and Delta Faucet brushed nickel fixtures, which provided a classic and timeless look. The custom shower was a standout feature, with subway tiles and marble niche, glass door, and Delta Faucet brushed nickel fixtures. The beveled edge mirrors above the vanity added elegance, while the stunning chandelier in the middle of the room created a warm and inviting atmosphere. And while the peaked ceilings added character to the space, the best part of the room was the large arched window we added, which let in ample natural light and provided a nice view of the property.

Now, let's talk about the ensuite closet. The angled ceilings posed a challenge, but we were able to form a plan and install a custom closet system to fit the space perfectly. The result was a walk-in closet that maximized every inch of available space. The custom closet system we installed included hanging rods, shelves, and drawers, providing ample storage space for clothes, shoes, and accessories. The angled ceilings added a unique touch to the closet, making it a one-of-a-kind space.
The bathroom and closet in this renovated attic space were essential elements of the bedroom, and we made sure to give them the attention they deserved. The bathroom boasted classic and timeless fixtures, while the closet was custom designed to fit the unique space. If you're considering renovating your own attic space, we hope this blog post has provided some inspiration for your own project!
